Support Temple Puja

Tamil Nadu is the land of beautiful ancient temples. But due to our apathy there are many temples which are devoid of any pooja performed by humans (Its another story that these temples are workshipped by siddhars and devathas in sookshma form).

This state of temple is more due to  natives of the villages moving out to greener pastures. Its our duty  to compensate the loss caused due to  migration. It is meaningless to build a new Temple in the colonies where they reside in urban areas and ignore these ancient temples. Let us remember that these old Temples carry forward the power generated due to worship made in many centuries. Let us also remember that many of these shrines were built by great souls who never expected anything in return. The Temples do carry forward their glory through Sthala Puranams, the age old Sthala Vrikshams and the Holy Tanks apart from the deities which are housed. This aspect is totally absent in Modern Temples. Despite these missing factors, people stand in long queues , buy special dharshan tickets ,purchase "Prasadams "from stalls and offer generously in the Hundis.

We as natives born/living in Tamil Nadu have the responsibility to ensure that we do the needful to support the performance of Puja in such ancient temples which requires support for regular puja to be conducted. This site attempts to list such temples which are in need so that people who are willing can contribute in any way possible (Monetary, Physical and mentally performing help (Like Poosala nayanar who build temple in his heart for the temple) or passing around the message to more people.

Even if we can contribute Rs.1 each for this cause this would help  support almost all the temples that are devoid of any puja in human form. We earnestly request each one of you to follow this site regularly and suppose the cause of Temple Puja.
